New CMP Study Group Forming

NEW CMP STUDY GROUP FORMING

The next CMP Exam will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 in various cities across the country, including Denver.

Orientation for the next Denver Area Study Group will be Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 at 6:00pm at a location TBD. Please contact either of the group leaders listed below if you are interested in participating. The study group will then meet each Wednesday evening (excluding holiday weeks), ending with a practice test on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, followed by the actual CMP exam that following Saturday. Including orientation, regular study group sessions, and the practice test, the study group will meet 11 times prior to the CMP test on January 10, 2009. Class will not meet on November 26th, December 24th or December 31st.

Each session will be hosted by (2) different industry professionals who have earned their CMP designation. Each week there are chapters assigned from the reading material and each participant will be guided to create questions the group will discuss the following week. The study group is designed to be informal and to promote discussion.

Reading material each week will be assigned from The Convention Industry Council Manual,

8th Edition and The Convention Industry Council International Manual, 1st Edition. Additional suggested reading is the APEX Glossary and the Professional Meeting Management, 5th Edition. These two books will not be assigned reading in the study group, however are recommended to all taking the exam. You can purchase all books at the CIC website - Click Here

The Denver Area Study Group is coordinated and hosted by volunteers and there is no cost to participate in the study group.
